I just started this one, I am on about Chapter 5 of six million. It is OK, but not captivating. I will be able to get through this one at least.

I'm not much one for Westerns, but I loved Lonesome Dove! In fact, I think it's time for a reread. I hope it picks up for you.

I haven't read this one yet. I like some westerns, so maybe when I get around to it, I'll be able to enjoyit. Is the action just slow or is the story too wordy or what?

I loved Lonesome Dove, and I hate westerns. Keep going - it is so worth it!

There's plenty of action, plenty of humor, a few tears, and some of the best characterizations you'll find in modern fiction. Lonesome Dove} is one of my favorites too.
