I have read most of David Dickinson's Lord Francis Powerscourt series set in Victorian England. The books are a wealth of information plus a very good mystery. Dickinson is a British author and he has a real knowledge of the Victorian period. The first book in the series is GOODNIGHT, SWEET PRINCE. Give it a try.
