I suck. *sob* That being said: Aug 14, 2009, 6:21pm (top)Message 450: jugglingpaynesI will not remind suge how long my family and lefty waited for her in Central Park last week just because we wanted to see her. Is the nickname the title of your book, by any chance? Aug 15, 2009, 10:33pm (top)Message 451: sugeomg I can't believe you brought that up, JP!! That's a low blow! I feel really guilty about that but I told you I almost died that day, so all things considered.... any hoo.... Aug 16, 2009, 7:11pm (top)Message 452: jugglingpaynesLOL! True. Your excuse was a good one! BTW, I think that was your fourth clue. Still no idea and you didn't answer my question. :oP Aug 17, 2009, 9:13am (top)Message 453: sugeOh, you're right, JP. But I think I was pretty coherent, considering. •Clue One: I am in a cool band.... well, my only friend and I "jam" together.... •Clue Two: Girls hate me on sight.... and boys too. In fact, I have to pretend to be semi Columbine crazy just to stop the bullies. So I don an Army jacket and walk around like I'm going to shoot up the school. •Clue Three: I get called a REALLY horrible nickname at school after taking an aptitude test. A name which I recklessly embrace in a moment of rebellion. •Clue Aug 17, 2009, 4:30pm (top)Message 454: sugeHA HA HA Does this mean I WIN??!! I am the master of the UNIVERSE HA HA HA HA! All must bow down to me. I am invincible. I am.... ... or is it that my clues SUCK? Oh no... Aug 17, 2009, 5:03pm (top)Message 455: picolinaDon't worry sugey, I'm sure someone here must've read the book, just be patient, I'm sure someone will come up with the answer. *wonders who would listen to a band who didn't have a drummer and didn't have lyrics to their songs.....* Aug 17, 2009, 7:16pm (top)Message 456: jugglingpaynesIt does sound like an interesting story. I never read anything like that plot. Aug 18, 2009, 12:51pm (top)Message 457: sugePic #455--> They actually put a little something together for their school talent show. They borrow a drummer from another competing band and become something of an sensation. Here's clue six: My father was a cop, who was killed in an "accident" six years ago. I find a box with his old school books. The books are full of coded messages. If I can decode the messages, maybe I can find out the truth about his death. Aug 18, 2009, 11:02pm (top)Message 458: picolinaOh god that sounds familiar!!!! Ok, I'm gonna guess. Is it Will from The Subtle Knife? Or........*bangs head on desk* that last clue sounds so familiar!!!!! But I don't think my guess would fit any of the other ones..... Aug 19, 2009, 11:11am (top)Message 459: suge458--> No, not Will. This book is not sci-fi nor fantasy. Clue One: I am in a cool band.... well, my only friend and I "jam" together.... •Clue Three Four: My school is full of anoying teachers who for some reason are obsessed with Holden Cauldfield. •Clue Five: More than play actual music, my "band" and I come up with hilarious band names complete with logos and cover art. We even have song names.... all we need are the lyrics.... and a drummer. Clue Seven: The book title claims that I am "royalty", but my social status is not one that you would envy. My mother is an aged hippie who preffers to dissapear in a Vicodin haze. I think that baby boomers, or gen xers are the most anoying generation of people that ever lived. Unfortunately, my step father is one. Aug 19, 2009, 2:52pm (top)Message 460: Ms_BellaSuge I give up! But I want to read this book now! Can you pm me and tell me what it is????? Aug 20, 2009, 3:08pm (top)Message 467: sugeI enjoyed King Dork, G. I thought it was really funny. However, I was pretty pissed when Tom started ragging on my band Led Zeppelin. What's wrong with him? Its like that horrible Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Songs of all time list. IN WHAT UNIVERSE IS "SATISFACTION" BY THE ROLLING STONES (a song I love btw) BETTER THAN "STARIWAY TO HEAVEN"? KASHMIR IS #140. most of the songs on the list are some of my favorite songs, but the order in which they are listed makes me want to throw things. Thats why I stay away from lists. grrrr Aug 20, 2009, 3:34pm (top)Message 468: Tid#467 I agree 100%. EVERYONE knows that "Sympathy For The Devil" is the greatest Stones' track, bar none. We don't need silly lists to tell us that :-) Aug 20, 2009, 3:41pm (top)Message 469: cmbohnMy vote is for 'Paint it Black.' Aug 20, 2009, 3:50pm (top)Message 470: foggidawnWhoa . . . I think I just wandered onto the wrong thread. *wanders off to look for the "Who Am I?" game thread* Aug 20, 2009, 6:14pm (top)Message 471: littlegeekI'm with Tid on this one. Although I have a special fondness for Shattered. Best Zepplin song? For me it's The Ocean, but pretty much any track by Zep is better than 90% by any other rock bands. (suge now loves me.) Honorable mentions: Immigrant Song, Achillies Last Stand. Aug 20, 2009, 6:25pm (top)Message 472: ejj1955Tea for One. Black Country Woman. Friends. Gallows Pole. Since I've Been Loving You. In the Evening. Whole Lotta Love. Wait--this isn't the Led Zeppelin fan thread? Aug 20, 2009, 6:29pm (top)Message 473: littlegeekActually, my favorite Zep song is whichever one is playing. OK, which is the best record? Houses of the Holy or Physical Grafitti? Or are all you kids too young to have listened to these as entire records? Ah, vinyl, how I miss you.... Aug 20, 2009, 11:03pm (top)Message 474: gpwtsSo it's my turn to name a character? and it's been a while since I read it. Mine can almost pass as normal but there's definetly can't Aug 21, 2009, 11:02am (top)Message 478: suge469--> I love "Paint It Black" but I have to third Tid and LG's vote for "Sympathy for the Devil". 471--> Oh, god, LG I love "The Ocean". I listen to it just about every morning. Suge loved you before, but now I love and adore you more. Hey! One of my favorite songs is "Achilles Last Stand" John Bonham was an amazing percussionist and the drums on that track are incredible. 472--> The guitars on "Since I've been loving" you are absolutely just.... brilliant. In my opinion Jimmy Page is the greatest guitarist of all time. He's like a wizard with a pick. I love Jimmy Hendrix and Chuck Berry but Jimmy P brings me to tears. 473--> Too true, Lg any Led Zep song will do to make me happy! HA on you LG! I actually have the "Houses of the Holy" LP (listen to it just about every day when I get dressed for work) and I owned the "Physical Graffiti" CD until my friend stepped on the disc with "Kashimir" on it by accident. Its hard to pick between those two records, LG. Both records are sensational. I guess I would go with "Physical" because it has "Ten Years Gone". My favorite Led Z song? I'd have to say "Kashmir" because it was the very first Led Zeppelin song I ever heard and I was completely blown away. I also LOVE "Going to California" and GOD "When the Levee Breaks" and "D'yer M'aker" and.... I could go on for ever. Again, any Led Z song that's playing. 476-->He he he Mr. excellent idea! Clue #1 I shine a light Aug 21, 2009, 11:10am (top)Message 479: littlegeekD'yer M'aker & Kashmir are also in my top 10, suge. Don't we both have excellent taste? No guess on the clues so far for me. A friend came down to our dorm room and listened to my roommate's LP . . . and that was that. Love passed from my auditory canal to my heart . . . yes, Suge, Jimmy Page is a genius. Bonham was incredible (*small sob*). Can't pick a favorite album. Sorry, back to the game . . . Aug 21, 2009, 3:41pm (top)Message 482: sugeWow, Ejj it must have been wonderful.
