I loved these Kathleen Taylor books (featuring Tory Bauer) but there don't seem to be any more of them. Hotel South Dakota, Sex and Salmonella, and Cold Front are just a few of the titles. 3BjaceLaura Ingalls Wilder's books Long Winter, Little Town on the Prairie and These Happy, Golden years are all set in South Dakota. 4clif_hikercan't go wrong with Dan O'Brien's Indian Agent; fictionalized account of events on and around the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, ultimately leading to the Massacre at Wounded Knee.
