What websites do you find useful, interesting for collecting? I would love to find one that gives a synopsis of titles, or even just orig. publication dates. I have a wide interest in history and will seek out new LCs according to whatever I'm researching/reading.

You posted this awhile back. Sorry I didn't catch it until now.
Here's a link to the Donnelly site. Any "research" on the Lakeside Classics should start with this site.

benjclark - Lakesideclassicbooks.com is a good site (and I have used it for many years) but it is definately a retail site. Wish there was a blog or other site with tons of information about the awesome books that didn't try to get you to buy from them.
Several years ago I was in contact with the person at Donnelly that was in charge of the Lakeside Classics. She was really informative and helpful but she couldn't tell me some of the stuff I wanted to know due to company policy. (She didn't want to loose her job and I couldn't blame her!)

I've been thinking of this again. What would you want in such a site? A great publisher series site built by collectors (I'm one!) is www.modernlib.com for The Modern Library. It probably has *far* more info than most folks would want from Lakeside Classics, but it would at least maybe have useful suggestions.

I've created a Flickr group for Lakeside collectors:

Well I have a pile of Lakeside Classics and just stumbled over this group. I typically look for them on Ebay, but sometimes certain ones can't be found there for less than an outrageous price. So, I've also found a few at alibris.com.
Many, many years ago I spent about six months working as a temp for R.R. Donnelly.
