So I started a reread myself. Something I generally do since the world and writing is so rich, and there are so many characters that I want to be fresh in order to meet the new work.

I finished New Spring, and put in a review for it. Anyone else rereading, or want to start a discussion on this?

I'm gonna wait til the series is complete before I re-read again. I know I love these books, but I'm not really a fast reader (well I thought I was before I joined LT, but now i know!) & there are so many books on my mount TBR, that I cant justify annother 3 re-reads...

Same here. I cant see doing a reread till the end of the series. Thats not to say I wont read the new books as soon as they come out, but I just cant see my way through reading TPoD or CoT again until the whole cycle is complete, and maybe not even than.

I started rereading them last spring, in preparation for the 'last' book. I made it through Path of Daggers before my MP3 player quit working. With luck I might get around to listening to the rest before the next book.

So does that become a relisten?

Up to discussing New Spring?

(I have the first four on audiobook, but then we ran into the recession so I stopped buying the audio. I am doing this the old fashioned with the eyeball way.)

I can certainly try, I have the HC, but I got all the audio from the library.

New Spring was the enlarging of the short story from the Legends collection long before Jordan knew that the opus was going to be so long, so full and so picked apart by fans.

I think that as WoT grew he regretted that he had written a short story as precursor material since he felt he needed to write a whole novel, which becomes much smaller when you take out the stuff that is not part of the tale.
