Jul 29, 2009, 1:51am (top)Message 4: alcottacreWelcome to the group! We have several people here who read juvenile and young adult fiction (myself included), so you should feel right at home. Jul 29, 2009, 2:17am (top)Message 5: saraslibraryCongrats and welcome, aharey! :) You just might reach the 100 book mark with how fast you're reading. Best of luck! And ditto to what alcottacre said about reading juvenile/YA fiction. I own/have read about 1/3 of the books you listed, and I have no excuse other than to make up lost time for snubbing them as a kid. (For some reason, it was sooo uncool when I was a kid to read in your age group.) Welcome aharey! I noticed that you read the first five "Anne" books this year - are you planning on reading the last three? L. M. Montgomery is one of my favourite authors. :) Thanks for the great welcome! I am going to read the last three Anne books sometime- I've read them several times and love them all (I also love the Story Girl books). Please add my welcome to the list of those who will watch your thread and post comments. Like you, I am a reader of Young Adult books. I discovered this genre here on the 75 challenge group. A few months ago I was on a Newbery Award quest. Oh I LOVE Newbery books. I've read a ton of them. :-) Aug 18, 2009, 5:34pm (top)Message 10: thomasandmaryBelated welcome. Dittos to what drneutron said about your list. Did you like Inkheart? I enjoyed the movie this summer, but haven't tried the book yet. My daughters and I did love her book The Thief Lord, which you might want to try if you liked Inkheart. Aug 18, 2009, 5:37pm (top)Message 11: tymfosBelated welcome from me, too. Very nice list of books! Sep 9, 2009, 1:43pm (top)Message 12: ahareyThanks for the welcomes! I did like Inkheart, but I haven't started the next one- I heard it was kind of weird. I LOVED My Life in France- learned so much about Julia Child that I never knew. Sep 19, 2009, 11:16am (top)Message 13: ahareyI've started re-reading Michael Crichton. His books are great- even 30-odd years later. Nov 9, 2009, 2:52pm (top)Message 14: ahareyI've completed the 75 book challenge! I'm so happy! Thanks for letting me join you- it's been a pleasure- see you next year! Nov 9, 2009, 3:19pm (top)Message 15: alcottacreNov 9, 2009, 7:30pm (top)Message 16: drneutronCongrats!
