Welcome! Looks like you're a Stephen King fan. You should be in fine company...

What did you think of Odd Thomas? It's one of the books I've been pushing on the other members of our little group here.

Welcome to the group! It is never too late to join in the fun.

Aug 12, 2009, 8:57am (top)Message 5: busy91

Thanks guys,
I am a King fan, good to know there are others around. I liked Odd Thomas, different than anything I've read, I've never read anything by Koontz before, glad this was my first book.

Welcome, Liz! Your list brings back memories of some long-ago read books! Good to hear another kudo for Odd Thomas--I'm very close to convinced to try them, even though I struggle to avoid series books. It's painful enough to add one book to my TBR, but when I have to add 5 or 6 at a time...

welcome!

Aug 20, 2009, 12:02pm (top)Message 8: busy91

I hope you give Odd Thomas a try. I had wanted to read it for years but always passed it over. I'll get to the other 'Odd' books soon.

Welcome Liz!

Just wanted to mention, I was at my son's house last week, and happened to be looking through his books, and there was Odd Thomas! So I took it home and put it on the 'short pile.' Hope to get to it soon!

Hi! Just found your thread -- a belated Welcome to you! I see some good books on your list.

I, too, like to read Stephen King, and I see you've read a Ray Bradbury recently, too -- another of my favorites. I've read some Koontz, but not any of the Odd Thomas books yet. I don't dare put another series on my Wishlist . . . though I know our local library has them . . . :)

I have 24 more books to go! and less than 4 months. No sweat....

Sep 22, 2009, 2:25pm (top)Message 14: busy91

I'm so behind. I have 21 more books to read, and a little over 3 months to read them.

Oct 15, 2009, 9:38am (top)Message 15: busy91

In less than a month I got it down to only 14 more to read for the year. WHOOT!

Oct 16, 2009, 1:23pm (top)Message 16: alcottacre

Congratulations on making progress toward your goal!

Oct 20, 2009, 8:56pm (top)Message 17: Whisper1

Yes, congratulations! Remember that no one is going to chastize you if you don't meet the goal.

Oct 27, 2009, 3:49pm (top)Message 18: busy91

No, but I'll be very disappointed in myself. However, only 10 more to go. Looks like I'll reach my goal by mid-December. And then I'm going for the gold in 2010 - 100 books!

Nov 3, 2009, 10:18am (top)Message 19: Whisper1

Ten more books is a doable goal. Good luck. I'll be routing for you!

Dec 7, 2009, 10:09am (top)Message 20: busy91

Just 2 more to reach goal, and I'm already reading them. :)
