Hi all i'm new here and am a huge Discworld fan which are the books by Terry Pratchet for those who haven't read them. I have them all and can't wait for the new one which is out in October!!!! I have many favourites but i think Hogfather would have to be the one on the top of my list. What is your favourite?

You may want to look at the All Things Discworldian - The Guild of Pratchett Fans group. That seems to cater for pTerry fans.

I must admit much as I like the Discworld books some of my favourite Pratchett's are the not Discworld. I really like The Bromeliad which (for those who don't know) is a trilogy :-Truckers, Diggers and Wings) and also the book he co-wrote with Neil Gaiman -Good Omens. Choosing a favourite book from the Discworld series would be like trying to choose my favourite character- impossible!

Edit for wrongly placed bracket and to add welcome.

I only discovered Pratchett last year so I haven't read many of his books, but I've enjoyed them all. Small Gods sticks in my mind, and having read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH several times to assorted progeny, I find The Amazing Maurice and His Amazing Rodents hysterically funny.

I love Maurice- how did I miss mentioning it before. Does any body else remember listening to the BBC radio production?

I have read far from all of the Discworld books, but one really interesting thing is that Pratchett seems to get better as the series goes (and not, as in so many other cases, the other way around). I like the City Watch books best, and my favourite is The fifth elephant, I think.
