Has anyone of you had a crisis of religion? Not a crisis of faith..you ever questioned it to the point of leaving one church demonination for another? What books did you read when going through it???
Episcopalians don't believe homosexuals or Muslims are going to hell based on those facts alone...the critieria for Hell has nothing to do with who you sleep with or your culture.... Episcopalians say "excuse me" after they burp...and no Hail Marys....usually one Our Father does the trick.
I don't need the Pope or a dead king to tell me what to do, I use my God given common sense to think for myself
I thought you had this direct control via prayers to Jesus at night. I really, should I feel the need to know, should be asking that question of you. Man, I just don't have the in that you have.
I can't speak for Hilary...and I dont know any child molesters....
Last time I checked this thread is about BOOKS....see post #1.
This is rather besides the point. Nobody is "going to hell" based on a particular belief or behavior. We are on our way to hell by the facts of our "being." We are not sinners because we sin. We sin because we are sinners. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The bad news sets the context for why the Gospel is both "good" and "news." Salvation is based on God's intervention into the human experience, becoming human, exchanging His life for ours that we might exchange our life for His. This intervention leads to a transformation and a healing, remission of sin. Remission means it withdraws as we grow in healing and transformation. This applies to all areas of life including sexuality. Again the problem with sexuality is that it involves what we are not just what we do. We are all fallen and broken in this regard as well. This is why sexuality is so central to discipleship.
