I don't use import that often, so maybe someone who does - especially from Amazon - could weigh in here. A user has reported some problems importing from Amazon using the instructions from HelpThing, and I'm wondering if the instructions need to be updated or tweaked. It may be that the user has made a mistake somewhere in following the instructions, but it's also possible that Amazon has changed their code in some way.

I'm a bit familiar with the method using "books I own" but not the one using Amazon media libraries. This user is reporting a lot of unowned books being imported besides the ones marked as owned - I'm not sure if it's an import mistake or something about the Amazon code.

If I remember correctly, though, it is common that imports using code from Amazon pages will sometimes grab more books than one intends, because Amazon often has recent viewing history and other things somewhere on the page for one's wishlist or buying history. In my experience - albeit from a while ago - this was only ever a handful of books, whereas this user is reporting hundreds of additionally grabbed books. At any rate, is there a need to explain that possibility of unintentionally imported books a bit more on the wikithing page? Also, does anyone else use the method for importing from Amazon Media Library described on the wikithing, and if so, is it working as expected? Is that method now importing lots of extra books, not just books marked as owned?
