Oct 3, 2009, 3:08pm (top)Message 3: lydiasbooksPlease help me clear out my stuff. UK-only apart from multiple orders - those can be for other countries, by surface mail. Oct 8, 2009, 9:19am (top)Message 15: geophileTime to replenish the points, so here's some of the books I've recently added to my inventory: Adrian Mole - The Cappuccino Years by Sue Townsend Dragon Blade: The Book of the Rowan (Cycle of Oak, Yew, Ash, and Rowan, Book 4) by Andre Norton & Sasha Miller People of the Deer by Farley Mowat For those not familiar with Farley Mowat, here's the blurb from the book cover: "Sixty years ago, the Ihalmiut--the inland Eskimos of Canada's Great Barrens--numbered two thousand. When writer Farley Mowat visited them, there were only forty. For two years, Mowat shared the bitterly hard life of the Ihalmiut, and came to understand them and the brutal country that is theirs. This book traces the story of the destruction of these "People of the Deer" and their way of life, and re-creates for the reader the vigor and harmony of their vanished culture." Here's a few more: Rumpole and the Penge Bungalow Murders by J. Mortimer The Last Voyage of the Karluk : Shipwreck and Rescue in the Arctic by Captain Bob Bartlett The rest of my inventory is at: http://bookmooch.com/m/inventory/geophil... All of my books have condition notes, and although books have to meet a certain standard before I list them, I'd appreciate it if moochers check the notes. Oct 16, 2009, 5:58pm (top)Message 29: DanneenessI've just added the Gay Pride Bookmooch journal to my inventory. Not familiar with Bookmooch journals? It's simple! Mooch, read, add (whether that's by using pictures, drawings, paintings, scribbling, prose, poetry, whatever!), and put it back on Bookmooch for someone else to get! Once full, it returns to the original maker. "This journal is about "Gay Pride". Whether you're gay or not, this journal is all about gay pride. That includes gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered." I was the first person to write in this one. It needs some love! My inventory is here: http://bookmooch.com/m/inventory/danneen... I have several specials on right now, including 2 for 1 on all Harlequins, 3 for 1 on all recipe booklets and 2 for 1 on all kids books. I am also very open to making deals so if you find a few, propose something. Tbh, I just want to see these books go to a good home. Hardcovers, paperbacks, fiction, and non fiction, I pretty much have everything. I'm heading south for the winter soon so I would like to see as many books go now before I have to put myself on vacation. Mooch away! Edit: I should note, I send worldwide and I do have condition notes on just about everything (I hope). The box of harlequins is still a work in progress, but I noted obvious defects when posting, so the remainder without notes can be described as "good condition, possibly some yellowing pages and slight creasing" Message edited by its author, Oct 17, 2009, 12:06am. Not about to marry, she makes the arduous journey to her new home, only to discover that there's already a tenant living there: a broodingly handsome man named Oliver Bristow, who has no intention of leaving before his lease runs out-in another month. I found a hardcover copy of Memory & Dream at the Habitat for Humanity Home Store, isbn# 0-312-85572-9. Looks like a bookclub edition - no price on inside of dust jacket. Slight foxing on inside front and back covers and dust jacket, some red stains on edges of pages, slight tears on dust jacket at top and bottom of spine and corner edges. Looks like it's been read several times without the dust jacket to protect the book. I'm actually making it out worse than it is - no labels, no writing, no bent pages, just normal stuff for a 15 year old book. Second book is a paperback edition of The Closers by Michael Connelly.
