This is a romance by the queen of British romance writers. Published in 1977, it now appears to be out of print. I'm almost at the point where I'd give my left ear for a copy--or would borrow and return it--I just want to read it. She wrote more than 80 romances, and even though she obviously wrote to a formula, her work is a cut above the general run of romance writers. For one thing, she was a mistress of the English language. For another, she always put in some fascinating information--background, or scenery, or history--in her books, to make them a little different.
