I need some good books for me to read. They need to be rather long because i read really really fast!

Thanks.

What sort of books do you like? We can give you better suggestions if we know the genre or some of the books that you've previously enjoyed.

Have you read Libba Bray's trilogy starting with A Great and Terrible Beauty? Those are decently long.

If you like fantasy, I might also recommend Alison Croggon's Pellinor quartet, which starts with The Naming, Kristin Cashore's Graceling, and Maria V. Snyder's 'Study' trilogy starting with Poison Study. None of these are abnormally long, but they're not very small books either.

Long books....
Have you read Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr by Christopher Paolini?
Those are my favorite LONG teen books but there are so many god ones out there.
Mariane Curley's books are fairly long and she's an awesome author!
Wariors by Erin Hunter are kinda pre-teen but I'm 15 and still love 'em!

The Bartimaeus Trilogy is pretty long, and hilarious.

You could try the maximum ride series. The books aren't too long, however I think the series is on the 5th book right now. Or the mortal instruments trilogy are longer books same with the looking glass wars trilogy.

I read really fast as well and I've found series help too in that situation. If you have a trilogy or a long series, you can just keep going with it. Especially when they get to be 8+ books long :)

For older teens (14yrs and up) I would recommend Stephen King books if you like horror, mystery, or suspense.

Other great, long books for teens are:
The astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, Volume I: The Pox Party by M. T. Anderson

and

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The wheel of time series by Robert Jordan are long books and there are lots of them! Should keep you occupied for at least a week.

For fantasy and humour combined you can try Terry Pratchett's Discworld. There are some YA novels but the adult ones are easily readable by any teenager. The entire series is 37 books (just the novels) now.

I am not a fan of action or survival books myself so I can't recommend any of those.

As a teen I loved Lord Brocktree by Brian Jacques. It's kind of lengthy, and it fits the genre's you listed, its a fantasy/action/adventure story with a spot of comedy from time to time. It's also a part of a HUGE series, although I've never read any of the others.

And there is, of course, the Harry Potter series. The later ones are a good 500-800+ pages each, and they are great books.

if you like fantasy I would recommend you The Chronicles of Bridei by Juliet Marillier, I love them, specially the second book.

For a good survival book try Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler which is the first of an unfinished series, yet complete in an of itself. Not a terribly long read but very good.

Their is also Stephen King's Stand which is survival/post-apocalyptic and quite long.
