These are my categories. There is a chance that they will be tweaked a bit.
1) "And Action!" (books into movies)
2) Spring Cleaning (finish off my purchased TBR so I don't feel so guilty buying more)
3) The Quest for 1001
4) Minnetonka High School (all those that I read for high school that I haven't touched since)
5) "This Sceptered Isle" (books written by English authors in England)
6) The Modern (recent/modern classics)
7) Nothing but the facts
8) Good Things Come in Small Packages (short stories)
9) Brand Spankin' New (books new in 2010)
10)"ssshhhh, no talking in thel library!" (books about libraries or librarians)

I'm currently in grad school (for library science and children's lit) right now and working, so I'm not sure I can do 10 in each category. I'm going to try for a minimum of 5.

I'm interested to see what you pick for Libraries and Librarians category. I read a short story collection last year called In the Stacks and a gorgeous non-fiction coffee table book- The Most Beautiful Libraries in the World.

Or for a completely different take on libraries and librarians, there's always Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians ;)

Thanks for the library/librarian book ideas. One of my teachers made a library mystery list, so I was mostly going to draw from that. I had no idea (until I started library school) that there was this little sub-genre!

A publisher just sent me a book about a children's librarian investigating a murder mystery. And she's a vampire. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs
