Is there anyone out there, from the UK?

I think there are plenty of us, but for some reason this and the only marginally busier Brits group don't seem to see much action.
Hi - yes we are really here. I tend to join in with discussions when I have time and rarely start them off. I like to read books from all over the world, but it is good to read a UK book every now and then.
Just finished One Day by David Nicholls and This is How by M J Hyland, both set in the UK; very different books, but both recommended.
Ditto. There are few really UKcentric posts - other than a few political issues.
Maybe we can have an election debate - which party do you think will do best for authors/readers ???
Can't be the Greens - they'd want to recycle all our lovely books
Can't be the Torys - they'd want the publishers to dominate by raising prices
Can't be Labour - they'd want to tax books more
Can't be LibDems - they'd take the worst of all the above
