Description: An independent bookshop with a focus on film and theatre. Stocks quality fiction, film and theatre books as well as books on art, design, architecture, fashion, food, philosophy, politics, science, religion, travel and queer literature. Also has a good selection of quality children's fiction.

ESB also stocks DVDs for rent and sale. They have one of the largest collections of foreign and arthouse DVDs in Canberra.

This bookshop used to be associated with the Electric Shadows independent movie theater. Sadly, the theater closed, but the book store is still running.
