Description: There has been a library in the Village of Wappingers Falls since 1867, making it the sixth oldest library in NY State. The Grinnell Library building was constructed in 1887, according to the design specifications of an ecclesiastical architect named Henry Congdon. His design incorporates aspects of many 19th century architectural styles including "picturesque," "shingle style" and "stick style."
