Maisy the Mouse, a children's character introduced by Lucy Cousins, reflects the everyday adventures of children. Her works engage toddlers and preschoolers with bold crayon-bright colors. We will have readings and arts and crafts.

University Faculty Authors (April 15 at 12:00pm) Two members of the University's Communications Dept will discuss their two most recent works surrounding the world of television and the impact it has on our daily lives.
"The Girl in The Picture "- Univ. Presidential Series Lecture (April 22 at 7:30pm) Kim Phuc discusses The Girl in The Picture. Ms. Kim Phuc will be discussing the work, The Girl In the Picture. Many people will remember her as the yound girl fleeing her South Vietnamese village after a recent napalm bombing, unclothed and in tears. The picture won the Pulitzer prize that year for photography. Event location: Miles Godwin Bldg on the Univesity campus
Children's Readings & Cookie Event (June 21 at 10:00am) Amanda reads from If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. The University Village Bookstore @ ODU will host a children's reading and cookie decorationg event on Saturday, June 21st from 10am to 11am. The event is FREE and no preregistration is required.
Children's Reading and Activities (July 19 at 10:00am) Amanda Deal reads from Sesame Street --assorted titles. Amanda will be reading and entertaining the kids with an assortment of Sesame Street titles followed by a arts and crafts period.

31st Annual Old Dominion University Literary Festival (September 23 at 11:00am) Assortment of 15 authors & storytellers. The " call of stories " is this years theme for the annual ODU Literary Festival hosted by the University Village Bookstore from Sept 23-26th.
