Description: The aim of the University Library is to support Karolinska Institutet in its mission to improve the health of mankind through research, education and information.

The University Library is also a national resource library for medicine, including dental science, nursing science and health care. A national resource library is responsible for developing medical librarianship in Sweden within the subject area.

Karolinska Institutet University Library was voted as "Library of the Year" of Sweden in 2007.
