MacLeod'sNew/Used: Not set Description: Set within an old Victorian bank, only a block away from Holy Rosary Cathedral downtown, MacLeod's has hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of books in stock. High ceilings, bookshelves floor-to-ceiling with ladders available, more books in precarious piles all over the floor, including in the basement, they seem to have every genre possible.
There is also a rare book room across the street, accessible only by request. The venue across the street is similarly displayed, with bookshelves to the ceiling, and enormous piles of books everywhere - including some of the earliest printed books available in the west coast : within the rare book room are printed works from the 16th-19th centuries (especially in Poetry / Prose and History), usually in their original leather or vellum bindings.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you ask for a specific book, like Evelyn's Diary, sometimes they'll pull out every copy and give you a chair. Added by: liao. Contacted: Not contacted. Venue ID: 23037 FavoritesComment wall | Upcoming events
