The attack on the Pentagon produced one of the biggest building fires in American history and threatened the nation's military headquarters while the nation was under assault. “FIREFIGHT” describes how hundreds of firefighters, search and rescue crews, FBI agents, and other professionals overcame unimaginable challenges to keep the Pentagon up and running.

“Touching History” is the story of the astonishing drama that played out in the skies and in the military installations and air traffic control towers on 9/11.

‘The Pentagon" also describes the battle to keep the Pentagon operating on 9/11, as well as the subsequent "Phoenix Project," the race by construction crews to rebuild the damaged building.

Special guests are invited from the aviation industry and Arlington County departments involved in the response and rescue on 9/11. Arlington Community has an opportunity to thank those individuals and departments for their continuing hard work and service to the community and the country.
