Situated across from Los Angeles Central Public Library, Caravan specializes in rare and antique books on California history, Americana, voyages and other historic subjects. More than 10,000 books, plus art, prints, and ephemera. Owner Leonard Bernstein got the book-collecting bug from his father Morris, who opened the Caravan Book Store in downtown L.A. in 1954.
