Description: This last vestige of what used to be Bookseller's Row in Downtown Los Angeles. Situated across from Los Angeles Central Public Library, Caravan specializes in rare and antique books on California history, Americana, voyages and other historic subjects. More than 10,000 books, plus art, prints, and ephemera. Owner Leonard Bernstein got the book-collecting bug from his father Morris, who opened the Caravan Book Store in downtown L.A. in 1954. This is a great bookstore to browse.
