Description:: The Institute of Astronomy Library is located in the old Cambridge Observatory building of 1823. It specialises in astronomy, astrophysics and cosmology. It has strong historical collections, particularly of star catalogues. Its oldest book dates from 1514. It is not generally open to the public, but the librarian welcomes enquiries from anyone interested in astronomy.
