(October 7, 2008) – Los Angeles, CA – For one night only Las Manas Tres and Mangos with Chili combine forces for a thrilling mixture of theater, spoken word, movement, dance, burlesque, and drag so powerful your ancestors will feel it. Heating the heart and melting the mind from the Bay to LA, Las Manas Tres (Maya, Milta and Cruz), are hybrid poetas bringing the fuerte flava who perform original work centered around themes of social justice, sexuality, motherhood and the relationship between first and third world women. Mangos with Chile present the Queer Borderlands Tour, a multi-racial, multi-gendered and multi-genre traveling cabaret of queer and trans of color performance artists.

Mangos with Chili Features Qwo-Li Driskill, Zuleikha Mahmood, Vixen Noir, Chica Boom, Nar, Tre Vasquez, Nico Dacumos, Ms. Cherry Gallete and Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha. Come check out these queer and trans of color children of Gloria Anzaldúa as they explore loving, resisting and breaking border fences.
