The Second Annual Much Ado Book-Lovers' Pub Quiz. Teams of up to six welcome. This event is nearly sold out -- call on 01323 871 222 to see if spaces are available. Ticket price of £13.50 includes a two-course meal, and all proceeds go to the Eastbourne District General Hospital.

Eight Men in a Crate (April 2 at 6:00pm)
Rainer Goldsmith discusses Eight Men in a Crate.
Rainer Goldsmith, who served as doctor for the eight-man advance party of the Trans-Antarctic Expedition from 1955-1957, will be discussing the expedition. Also speaking will be Anthea Arnold, who wrote Eight Men in a Crate based on his diaries, and Derek Williams, who made the documentary film Foothold ... (more)on Antarctica about the voyage. Tickets £8.
