Sadly, Daedalus is closing its Belvedere Square satellite on May 15, 2011.
The Columbia Daedalus store remains open.

Dedalus Books has frequent music events in their store giving added value for trips to their store--Jazz, Choral, Puppetry, Celtic, etc. The store is well designed for children. In the same complex are food outlets and specialty stores which makes Dedalus Books a great destination for multiple enjoyment and errands.

This is the best remainder store I've ever been in. It has cozy chairs, nice coffee tables and a ton of new books which often don't have that nasty black remainder mark on them (tho of course some do so you do need to look). New books, great staff, and if you snooze, you lose. Right across from the Senator Theatre on York Road. Their original warehouse store is in Columbia and my bro buys from their catalog and online since he's out of state. What's not to like??? So beat feet on over... Pitcherbooks :-)
