Description: An independent bookstore with a big selection of books. The name of the store was drawn from one of Edward Abbey's, The Monkey Wrench Gang. His character Seldom Seen Smith was an outfitter, and the name of his company--and hideout--was "Back of Beyond".

Specialize in natural history, environmental literature, southwestern guidebooks & maps, Native American books, and Western history. Back of Beyond also carries an assortment of poetry, science, classics, philosophy, general fiction, current affairs.
