[edit] acrylic adhesives
Used in most stickers; remove as much of the sticker as possible by hand first
[edit] Recommended
- Bestine solvent and rubber cement thinner (is heptane)
- Un-Du (is mostly heptane)
- lighter fluid (usually contains naphtha, Ronsonol is 100% Naphtha)
- rub the residue off using a soft eraser - Sanford Magic Rub, art gum, or rubber crepe.
[edit] Other
- rubbing alcohol
- Goo-Gone
- Zoff
- baby wipes
- WD40, then scrape lightly
[edit] gum-based adhesives
Used for bookplates and bookseller stickers
- Can be lifted with water or Stamplift
[edit] rubber cement
- Once dry, the rubber can be removed with heat or picked off by hand
