In late 2007, several users noted that the Amazon bookmarklet was no longer working.

As of October 2009, the following code appears to work on Firefox and Google Chrome, but not on IE. Since JavaScript isn't allowed on these pages, you will have to copy and paste as a bookmark/favorite. It works best if your bookmark bar is showing. When you are at a book page on Amazon, click on the link and your book will be added to your library.

This is offered as-is, and might stop working at any time.

The text of the code to add to Your Library:

javascript:var%20rx%20=%20/amazon\.(.*?)\/.*?\/([0-9X]{10})/;%20var%20rs%20=%20document.URL.match(rx);%20if(rs==null)%20{%20alert('Use%20this%20on%20an%20Amazon%20book%20page.');%20};%20location.href='http://www.librarything.com/addbooks.php?dc=1&plusbook='+rs[2];

The text of the code to add to the pre-defined Wishlist collection:

javascript:var%20rx%20=%20/amazon\.(.*?)\/.*?\/([0-9X]{10})/;%20var%20rs%20=%20document.URL.match(rx);%20if(rs==null)%20{%20alert('Use%20this%20on%20an%20Amazon%20book%20page.');%20};%20location.href='http://www.librarything.com/addbooks.php?dc=4&plusbook='+rs[2];

If you have trouble saving the code, visit my web page with the Amazon bookmarklet.

Thanks to member rsterling for helping test the code!
