Colonize This!: Young Women of Color on Today's Feminism (Live Girls) (original 2002; edition 2002)

I think this was one of the first books I read written entirely by women of color and it was definitely a good look into the intersection of race and gender. I know that a lot of books written by white feminists bring up race, but they will never have the same lived experience as women and girls of color. ( )

A fantastic collection of essays by young women of colour and what it means to grow up with feminism while also dealing with ethicity and racial boundaries and struggles.

Would be even better if authors gave us some place to go with all of this. ( )
