There Are No Cats in this Book by Viviane Schwarz (lquilter)
lquilter: Okay, fourth wall fans -- If you loved Mo Willems', "We Are in a Book!" you will also enjoy Viviane Schwarz's "There Are No Cats in This Book" -- animals trying to escape the book! And Schwarz's book has very very clever inserts.

A book that is very popular for Storytime at my local library. Elephant and Piggie are the main characters who have so many fun adventures within their series. The characters are interacting with the readers which is something that happens with Mo Willems' books. The cartoon illustrations are great and Elephant and Piggie seem like they are really talking to the reader which will get children's attentions.
