Everything you'd expect a (lame) 1st yr textbook to be. Forced humor, attempts to cover all points of view so no-one is offended, and pretty much nothing I didn't know.
The main interesting factoid (which I'd like to see confirmed elsewhere) was the claim that male gay couples, once they commit to being a couple, stay together longer than either gay female couples or hetero couples. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0070315965, Hardcover)

This text approaches the subject of human sexuality from a psychological perspective. It features information from a variety of disciplines, such as biology, women's studies, sociology, anthropology and health education. The text offers extensive coverage of research and theoretical findings, but its informal tone makes it suitable for students at all academic levels. This edition features: expanded coverage of multicultural research; updated data on sexual behaviour, including the University of Chicago NORC survey; and a video produced for Mcgraw-Hill presenting a series of unrehearsed interviews, covering a range of topics in sexuality. Attention is given to gender: the text highlights differences between male and female sexuality and the importance of gender roles in sexual behaviour.
