Dull, but mercifully short. Narrator loses his mum, feels jolly sad about it. Then he drinks, takes painkillers, feels numb, and has a terrible relationship with his father, who hits him and is an alcoholic naturally. Sleeps with lots of doomed, tragic women on the way. Added nothing to my life, but the cover is lovely. ( )
