Equal parts informative and entertaining, the second in Alton Brown's trio of "Good Eats" cookbooks matches the first in its variety of topics and potential usefulness. His instructions are generally clear, though for certain complicated procedures watching an actual episode would help more than the step-by-occasional-step pictures. And the snapshots of Brown and his cast in various costumes are just hilarious! (
