Rock Lee is so cool! The way that Guy told him he was a good-enough ninja after he lost the fight was so touching I cried.

Key Takeaways:
-Work under your limitations. Rock Lee can't do Ninjutsu so he worked exclusively on Kaijutsu (hand-to-hand combat).
-Hard work is worthless if you do not believe in yourself. (Rock Lee was so scared that Kaijutsu would just never be enough for him to be a ninja).
-We push ourselves to our limits so we can et the chance to succeed. If that is at the cost of hurting ourselves, then so be it. (Rock Lee will never fight again from his injuries!)
-There are no shortcuts (grandson wants to beat Hokage? He needs to work hard for it!) (probably already said in an earlier volume, but I like reiterating it!) ( )

Ahhh Lee. For years he was one of my absolute favorite manga characters, a true genius of hard work. This fight was so awesome and sad that it stayed with me pretty solid through years and years of reading Naruto. And then Guy had to come around and upstage him, not just once, but twice near the end of the series.

Fighting Gaara was amazing, and I still have a warm spot in my heart for this battle, but it has been slightly tarnished by time.

I honestly like the Anime version of this fight better than the Manga, too. ( )

Loving the series so far. It is so interesting that I don't want to pause and write reviews for each volume.

I particularly like this volume because of the character Rock Lee. He signifies that even if you don't have natural talent for something, working hard will eventually pay off.
