I was expecting Gossip Girls and A-List and got something I absolutely hated. I read the review in Booklist and didn't get what I expected. I hated the characters and didn't feel like reading (or purchasing) the rest of the series. It was hard enough to finish this one. I don't think I'm a prude, but this one has absolutely no place in my high school library. ( )

Small towns in California are just as boring as they seem, especially Grace. The high school is full of beer, drama and sex, and love triangles with more than just three sides. Queen bee Harper loves sports star Adam, who is head over heels for little miss perfect Beth, who life-long player Kane has decided would be worth settling down for, to the dismay of plain boring Miranda, who finds herself lusting for Kane at all hours of the day. And this is all just before Kaia, big time New York City girl, moves in. She throws the popularity circle at Grace’s high school for a loop as she goes for everyone – including the new, beautiful French teacher Mr. Powell. If there ever was a batch of good books to read at the beach, pool, or couch on a rainy day – these are them. ( )
