It addresses the needs of both cancer patients and those who would care for them. Oftentimes would-be caregivers just don’t know what to do or say when cancer has been diagnosed in a dear one or themselves. June Hunt has walked the walk both as a caregiver and a cancer survivor. The book’s practical tips come from both points of view and are suffused with comforting Biblical inspiration and examples of love in creative action. She tells of the loving things her friends and family did for her and of ways the patient can help the helpers. Her deep trust in God shines on every page. The book has photos on almost every page to illustrate that page’s particular point or anecdote. It’s a go-to book for anyone who is or knows a cancer patient.
