This book was reasonably interesting as a summary of the main things HB has done, but certainly read rather as a compilation from already published information rather than a new biography. There were also several annoying errors (e.g. a review mentioned as being in 2006 when from other facts nearby it must have been 1996 and a 'dicey' that I think should have been 'pricey'). All in all I was glad I had only paid 99p for it.

Added later - have just looked on the Amazon review pages (maybe I should have done that first) and find that most other readers share my concerns about it being nothing new and not very well written (or proofread). It is quite illuminating to click on the author on Amazon and see that he has written quite a few other 'biographies' of famous people. So I decided to make my notes into a review (rather than leave it in comments as I do for most of my book notes) to warn potential purchasers not to expect as much as they might otherwise based on the 5 stars from the only other person to rate it on LibraryThing to date.
