I read Shusterman's Everlost which was also interesting (although not as scary a concept as Unwind) in a "what if" kind of way. Also a good book if you're interested. ... I have to comb through your old threads at some point and get all your recommendations. As is, I've added February House, Everlost, and The Pluto Files to my wishlist. ... a pretty good suspense novel, once your sense of disbelief is put aside; highly recommended for fans of the genre

In treeware, I'm re-reading (after many years) Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man. ... read the book all in one sitting. That said, I did not enjoy this one as much as the previous two Shusterman novels I read, Everlost and Downsiders. Maybe I didn't fully swallow the Unwind process as something a pro-life faction would ever agree to. Or a society where parents would willingly ... ... as he finds her. Can Lindsay help Talon when The Great Shaft Disaster changes the Downside forever?
Shusterman's Everlost was one of the books that helped me to decide to continue reading YA fiction. So for my category this year it was a no-brainer for me to pick another Shusterman ... A few days ago from Barnes and Noble:

Happy Reading in 2009! ... gruesome. It was readable though, and I will follow through with subsequent volumes when I can find them in a library.
Everlost managed to be quite creepy. Two kids don’t quite die in a car crash: they don’t survive, but neither do they ‘get where they were going.’ It’s a premise ... I've posted these over on the site, but thought I'd post here too in case LTers don't want to travel :-)

Loading fast! Good work! It's been so cold here in Alaska that all I've wanted to do is stay in bed and read. I finished Everlost which was a cute young adult fiction novel. Now, I'm reading my Early Review book The Translator and am very much enjoying the switch to nonfiction. I finished Memoirs of a Geisha this morning. I couldn't put it down; it was so beautiful!
Now I'm reading Everlost. Not sure if it was the right choice after such beautiful literature, but I'll see if I get into it more. ... from previous months because we didn't have 10 nominations. Please post here what you voted for. Happy reading!!

Fourteen year olds Allie and Nick aren't exactly sure what happened when their cars crashed in to each other. All they know is that nothing is the same. The real world they were once a part of is like quicksand, the dead forest is real ... I currently have three books going:

xxxHolic Volume 2, a manga by Clamp. I'm starting Everlost by Neal Shusterman. I've heard really good things about this book so I'm looking forward to it. ... Moon, and Dreamhunter are not yet out in paperback. Please suggest these again when they are available in paperback. Everlost has the same problem and didn't get very many votes last month-suggest it again when it is in paperback.

A unique and intriguing book, with a very unexpected romantic interest! I read Keturah and Lord Death in one day. Lord Death and John Temsland were both dishy!
Working on Everlost now -- with Pirates! by Celia Rees next in line.
I also started The Two Princesses of Bamarre, but it didn't hold my interest.

Thanks for starting this strand! It's always fun to see what others have read and enjoyed. I am reading Everlost by Neal Shusterman. It is very interesting. It is about where children go when they die and get sidetracked on the "way to where they are going" basically heaven. Anyway, they wander around us here on earth, but we can't see them. The catch is they sink into the ... I've not heard of Everlost before but I read the amazon description and it sounds amazing. Maybe you can share what you think of the book when you're done :-)
I was complaining last night because I picked up nine books from the library but two I really wanted to read. Away Laughing on a Fa ... I LOVED Peeps too. The Last Days is absolutely next on my list. Well....maybe not. I still have to read Everlost by Shusterman and others.....UGH! Do you ever have so many books you want to read, but not enough time in the day to get that done. I'm looking forward to school tomorrow ...
