The art is nicely done and the story is enjoyable (if slightly scary). The guy isn't totally hot, but he's not bad, and there is a stray kitty that's quite cute. I enjoyed the story enough that I did order the rest of the volumes out and pre-ordered some of the upcoming ones as well. SO, I'd recommend this one if you like a bit of fantasy/horror/etc. Parts of it are a bit much so if you're of the delicate of heart, you may not want to read this one... ( ) Aria is a tough teen orphan who lives with her aunt and has made it her calling in life to beat up guys who try to bully girls. Everything in her life is going well until a mysterious boy falls into her arms. Sakura is a demon possessed teen who has found the one girl who can help him control his inner murderer. Despite Aria's misgivings she finds herself agreeing to help Sakura and quickly learns that keeping him under control may be easier said than done. I found the premise of this manga interesting although I wasn't as drawn to these characters as I was to the ones in Her Majesty's Dog (the only other manga I've read). Also, the story seemed to jump around a bit. A couple times I found myself trying to flip back and see if I had missed a page. The graphics were nicely done and I did enjoy the budding relationship between Aria and Sakura. I am interested in reading a couple more volumes to see how the story progresses. This would be a good manga for anyone who likes horror/light romance/mystery type tales. no reviews | add a review

High school tough girl Aria is notorious for taking on her school's worst bullies. But punching out jerks is nothing compared to what happens when she finds herself inexplicably drawn to the demonically possessed Sakura, a guy who would as readily rip apart his own parents as seek her healing embrace. Sakura says Aria has the power to save him, but will she be able -- or even willing to? No library descriptions found. |
