Erotic Literature. Fiction. HTML:

This fascinating volume offers a frank look at sexual escapades in the Victorian era. Despite the common view of the period as a time when strict mores and chastity prevailed, the anonymous author of this explicitly detailed tome offers plenty of personal evidence to the contrary. According to his account, Victorians were as sensual, frisky, and sex-obsessed as the denizens of the twenty-first century. Dive into My Secret Life to find out more.

Skipped over a few long meandering parts, but fascinated by the time period & how the age constrained sexual expression.

Boring. And this guy seemed really proud of the fact that he was a bit (understatement) quick on the draw. He needed a lot more stamina and a lot better imagination. ( )

Read this book 40 years ago....learned a lot of what I know about sex from this book (even though he got some of it wrong!) deemed it erotic, and yes, pornographic...depicts an era when men in the British upper classes with unlimited resources could get away with socially-sanctioned everything in their pursuit of pleasure....hmmmm, have things really changed?...G. .....only half read though this book, but i find it nausating and hard to call it a "beautiful thing".raping the domestic help, raping children, getting service by prostitutes, and catching the clap more times than the yankees won world series.....

yet,its a good piece of work.....its either the detailed imaginary compulsions of a diseased mind or the confessions of a fiend. maybe its both ( )

Incredibly filthy. Gets old fast, but includes the entire universe of kinks so there must be something for everyone. Scope, size are overwhelming to point of illness. First five minutes interesting, after that tiring and almost disgusting.
