Book description
Phoebe Beeberbee desperately wants a dog, but for every special occasion, her pharmacist father gives her a hot water bottle.

Phoebe Beeberbee lives with her father above their Chemist shop. Mr Beeberbee is a avery busy man and Phoebe is often left to amuse herself. She loves collecting hot water bottles and in fact has 157 of them. They are her favourite companions but secretly, most of all, she longs for a real live puppy. Her father thinks she is too young to take on the responsibility of a pet. When the chemist shop catches fire one night, Phoebe shows her ingenuity when she uses her hot water bottes to help put out the fire.
