I really did. If you only have read the mortal instrument then this series will require a lot of patience and outside knowledge because it gives spoilers and needs knowledge of the previous series and basically sets up the next series. I loved it in so many ways. My fav character was simon and always has been and always will be. I also grew to both love isabella and his relationship and also alec and magnus. I also loved seeing tessa and jem again and i am excited to see where the next series goes. Overall it is five star book if you only read this one series then it is like a four star book. no reviews | add a review

This book was just so much longer than it needed to be. I don't know if I would have even finished it if I didn't listen to the audiobook. I probably wouldn't even get so far in this series. And there comes my rating problem, which is not only concerning this book but most of the books that I listen to. Because I do something else while listening, I don't get as bored, which means more positive ratings or finishing books/series I might have otherwise given up on.
So, back to this book. The ending was ok. Like it didn't make much sense in some ways. But I didn't hate it. I didn't care much about our main star duo, but some side characters grew on me. If I only read the MI series, I would likely be done with the whole world, but since I quite enjoyed ID I do feel like trying out the other trilogies. ( )
