Having just spent a weekend with A Weekend with Mr. Darcy I am completely infatuated! An absolutely fun and romantic read! ( )

This is just a nice frothy piece of nonsense to while away a few hours over Christmas. Various characters turn up for a weekend conference on Jane Austen. Of course, they are all in various unsatisfactory romances or unhappily single & of course everyone lives happily ever after. No need to engage brain for this one, just sit back with a cup of tea & a packet of biscuits and enjoy.

I normally enjoy P&P realted books (whether P&P Continued or P&P what if or P&P fan fiction), but not in this case. Modern-day story of Austenites spending a weekend in Hampshire at a Jane Austen conference... plot too weak, characters underdeveloped, a chick-lit book without tugging on heart-strings. Pass this by! ( )

Good, enjoyable, light read. ( )

This was a fun, quick read with lots of Jane Austen and her books in it. The love interests were cute, their relationships moved very fast but it was fun to read about it! I have only read Pride and Prejudice, so I was only familiar with those references. Any die hard Jane Austen fans would absolutely love this. I will be reading the next book to see how everything plays out with the couples. :)” ( )
