(more)

This triology (though in swedish) has been in my bookshelf since my early teens. It was then, and still is, one of my all time favourites, all categories!
Not only is Jan Fridegård a phenomenal writer (his characters and environments are so much ALIVE), but he also manages to create a fascination story about masters and slaves, love, the search for freedom and the neverending threat of christianity, all set in viking age Scandinavia. Though not historically accurate, there is still much for the reader to enjoy in these three books! ( )
