From beginning to end, it was funny and full of action and amazing characters. There were some really good plot twists and an ending that was just unbelievable. This book definitely left me wanting more and I can NOT wait for the next one. Overall this is a 5 out of 5 stars for me and it definitely made it onto my favorites list. A fantasy set in Alabama with a Southern belle cast as a Buffyesque heroine is my kind of fun. I love this author. She never fails to make me laugh, and her books are always a welcome pick-me-up. Harper Jane is lovable and hilarious. I would have liked to see more development of Bee, but I think that will come in the next book, and I imagine we'll see more development of Mary Beth as well. I loved the Aunts. Looking forward to the next one-wish I had it now. no reviews | add a review

It does lack the dept of character that Rainbow Rowell or John Green make seem so easy, but this is probably less annoying for younger readers. ( )
