Not as interesting for those who aren't fans of "Top Chef", for this is more of a guide to the show than a cookbook. But since I've watched the show, I liked reading about the first three seasons and getting a peek at all the behind-the-scenes activity. The recipes, as befitting pro, are often too crazy-complicated for home cooks who don't have a whole army of sous-chefs and dishwashers -- one recipe called for *six* pans! ( )

I had a pretty dim view of reality TV - can't stand those shows where people eat bugs or pretend to find true love just to get their fifteen minutes of fame.
