This book can be used as a great introduction to the tragic events of September 11, 2001, for readers of any age. "A Nation Challenged" gives readers an inside look at the terrorist attacks that not only changed a nation, but changed the world forever. Being only in fifth grade when the attacks occurred, I was too young to understand exactly what happened and why. Even as an adult, reading this book has given me a much better understanding of those events that took place. I feel as though this would be a great book to share with students to help them learn about the attacks and the impact it has had on our country. The book also features actual, real-life photos from that day and the days that followed which will touch your heart. ( )
