This was my first Gladys Taber book and still my favorite. Arranged as a diary through each month of the year, Gladys simply writes about her adventure living in a 200-year old woodframe house in the countryside of Connecticut. Along with her best friend Jill and their young children, she chronicles her love of the house, the surrounding wildlife, gardening, helpful neighbors and her wonderful dogs and cats. She shares her thoughts on cooking, the weather, her music and literary loves, and an eye for the beauty of a sunrise. no reviews | add a review
